Light, fluffy, delicious! A perfect addition to the plate!
– small dinner roll or white bread
– milk or water (enough to soak the bread)
– 1 lbs ground beef
– 1 small onion, grated (alternative: fry diced onion & let it cool)
– 1 egg
– salt and peper
– garlic and onion powder
– smoked paprika
– dry marjoram, optional
– 1/4 cup cold water
– breadcrumbs for coating
Slice the bread and cover it with the milk to soak. Leave it for at least 5-10 min.
In large bowl, place meat, add bread (squeeze out the milk), grated onion, egg, smoked paprika, garlic and onion powder, marjoram, salt and pepper. Mix all well by hand
Gradually add cold water and continue mixing until the meat absorbs the water and doesn’t stick to hands (the longer mix time, the better the cutlets; and the looser the meat, more tender the cutlets)
Form a ball and flatten it when coating it in breadcrumbs
Fry in heated oil
After frying on both sides, transfer cutlets into casserole dish and cook it for 10 min at 350
Store in fridge
